Your chance to hear from the people asking for your vote in the 2026 general election, and to put your questions to them face to face. Hosted by Grey Lynn Residents Association.
The general election is on Saturday 7 November and advance voting opens on 26 October.
Between now and then you’ll see plenty of billboards, leaflets and social media posts.
This is your chance to skip all that and hear from the candidates in person.
Come along to the Surrey Hotel on Sunday 11 October to hear Auckland Central candidates speak on the issues that matter to our neighbourhood.
Then put your own questions to them, or catch them for a chat over a drink before and after the formal session.
Who’s coming
Confirmed so far:
- Chloe Swarbrick (Auckland Central) and Florence Te Ohaere (Tamaki Makaurau) – Green Party
- Naisi Chen (Auckland Central) and Kerrin Leoni (Tamaki Makaurau) – Labour
- Johan Chang – The Opportunity Party (Auckland Central)
- Antonia Modkova – ACT (Auckland Central)
We’ve invited every candidate standing in Auckland Central, along with list candidates based in the electorate.
Still to confirm are Candace Kinser (National, Auckland Central), Lester Bryant (Outdoors Party, Auckland Central) and Oriini Kaipara (Te Pāti Māori, Tamaki Makaurau).
NZ First isn’t standing a candidate in Auckland Central.
We’ll update this list as more confirm, and announce our moderator shortly.
Bring your questions
Written questions from the floor will be collected on the night and put to the candidates by the moderator.
If there’s something you want answered before you cast your vote, this is the place to ask it.
Rather not leave it to the night? Email your question to [email protected] by Friday 9 October and we’ll pass it on to the moderator.
All questions are reviewed beforehand, so we can’t promise every one will be asked.
